“THREADS OF RESILIENCE: NAYAB’S JOURNEY TO EMPOWERMENT”

Our social enterprise business “Nayab”, nestled in the heart of Mian Channu, is more than just a collection of yarn and needles. It's a testament to the human spirit, woven with threads of resilience and hope! Meet Nayab Gohar, the driving force behind our craft. Her journey began innocently enough with her love for retro-fashion enthusiasm, and with crochet and knitting as her chosen pastime, a refuge from the commotion of life.

But life had other plans for Nayab. When her beloved, kindred spirit brother succumbed to leukaemia, leaving behind a void too vast to comprehend, Nayab found herself turning to her crochet and yarn for solace. Each stitch became a silent prayer, each loop a lifeline amidst the wreckage of her grief.

Just when she thought she had weathered the worst of it, fate dealt Nayab another blow. Her father's decision to part with her cherished pet, her trauma friend, a kitten “Tiger” left her reeling, igniting a fire within her to break free from the chains of dependence and forge her own path.

Driven by a desire to support herself and those around her struggling with poverty and social deprivation, Nayab transformed her lifelong love for knitting into a thriving business. Her journey toward independence wasn't without its challenges.

Nayab's strength and resilience shone as she engaged in numerous business development and entrepreneurship programs, determined to carve out a path of success for herself and her community.

Through her craft, Nayab not only found financial independence but also became a beacon of hope, weaving together strands of resilience and determination. Her dedication to giving back to the community is reflected in her commitment to donating 40% of her profits to animal care, embodying the essence of compassion and empathy.

Now, Nayab Gohar, an inspiration to many around her, through her resilience and unwavering determination, has turned her solo business “Nayab” into a social enterprise, impacting lives and weaving a legacy of strength and compassion that breaks the barriers.
